What is Russian volume?

Russian volume is an eyelash extension technique in which the lash artist hand-makes small fans from several ultra-fine fibers. Each fan is attached to a single natural lash. The result is dense, dark and bold — lashes that look full and defined, as if you were wearing mascara.

Because it is built fan by fan, Russian volume lets the density be adjusted across the eye, from a plush, full look to a truly dramatic one.

Assessment and mapping

We start by talking about the look you want and assessing your natural lashes — thickness, length and strength. Then we do the lash mapping, which sets lengths, curls and density for each part of the eye so the result is symmetrical and right for your lashes.

Fans and isolation

Each fan is made from fine fibers and applied to one carefully isolated natural lash. Isolation keeps natural lashes from sticking together, protecting their growth and making the set more comfortable and longer lasting.

Comfort

You lie down with your eyes closed in a calm, private room. If anything feels uncomfortable, just say so and the application pauses. If you have reacted to lash glue in the past, mention it before starting.

Aftercare

More fibers mean cleaning matters even more:

  1. For the first 24 hours, avoid water, steam, saunas and heavy sweating.
  2. Wash your lashes daily with lash foam and a soft brush so nothing builds up between the fans.
  3. Use an oil-free remover; no waterproof mascara or lash curler.
  4. After the sea or pool, rinse with fresh water and pat dry.

How often to get a refill

A Russian volume set looks its best for about three to four weeks. Since natural lashes shed and regrow all the time, a lash refill is recommended every 15 to 21 days to replace lost fans and keep your lashes full.
